Montana will probably see economic recovery in 2010

The northern tier of the country should slowly climb away from the recession in 2010, with Montana’s outlook brighter than other parts of the region, a pair of economists said Monday.

In presenting the results of their annual economic outlook survey, economists Toby Madden and Rob Grunewald of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis predicted a gradual recovery for most sectors of the region’s economy.

“We’re not dropping anymore. It looks like we’re slowly on the mend,” Madden said. “It appears the recession is over.”
