Montana Virtual Academy at the University of Montana distance learning project for school-aged children hires director

A new distance learning project for school-aged children has named a director.
Robert Currie is director of the Michigan Virtual School in Lansing for the past six years. He will begin work as director of the Montana Virtual Academy http://www.telecomassn.org/conferences/2004/summer/2009MarcoFerro.pdf on Jan. 4.
MTVA is based in the new Phyllis J. Washington Education Center at the University of Montana. It was created to offer kindergarteners through high school seniors access to high-quality, online instruction.
