Wyoming schools can help others improve

Our four-part series, "Top of the Class," which concludes today, gave readers a look at public schools throughout Wyoming that are excelling in a number of areas, including high scores on standardized tests and graduation rates.

Education reporter Jackie Borchardt visited Ten Sleep, Laramie, Ranchester/Big Horn and Cokeville/Afton, interviewing teachers, students, administrators and parents in an effort to identify some of the keys to their success.

It’s clear from our reporter’s research that other Wyoming schools don’t have to look outside the state for models of innovative approaches to education. There are plenty of examples here of "best practices" that can be shared with other school districts.
