$1.7 million in federal grant money available for Idaho afterschool programs

The state Department of Education says $1.7 million in federal grant money is available to Idaho school districts and other organizations for afterschool programs.

The department says grant applications will be accepted through Jan. 29 and funding will be awarded during the 2010-2011 school year.
