Rivertop Renewables of Missoula, Montana, Selected to Present at 22nd Industry Growth Forum Sponsored by National Renewable Energy Lab

Rivertop Renewables http://www.rivertop.com announced today that the Company will present its business case before cleantech investors at the 22nd Annual Industry Growth Forum http://www.cleanenergyforum.com/ in Denver, Colorado on the morning of Wednesday, November 4. The three day Forum is widely recognized as the premier investor venue for the clean energy industry and is convened by the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL).

“Presenting at NREL’s prestigious conference brings Rivertop one step closer to commercializing our scalable and environmentally sound platform technology. We intend to be the first to produce non-toxic, biodegradable and versatile glucaric acid at a low cost and in large volumes,” said Dr. Donald Kiely, Rivertop’s founder and Chief Technical Officer.

Glucaric acid will first be applied as corrosion inhibitors and concrete admixtures. Rivertop is also developing a detergent builder to replace phosphates and a polymer to control the release of fertilizers, both of which would protect water quality.

Rivertop will be one of 34 clean technology companies to present its business case to an expert investor panel and a roomful of private sector investors and potential strategic partners. A seasoned panel of over 120 investors and industry experts hand-picked the presenting companies from among 285 applicants. More than $2.5 billion has been raised by companies presenting at the forum since 2003.

NREL is a facility of the US Department of Energy recognized for its leadership in renewable energy and energy efficiency research, development and deployment. NREL co-authored a 2004 foundational report on the emerging renewable chemical industry. The report named glucaric acid and other chemicals that can be made using Rivertop’s process as among the top 12 renewable building block chemicals.
