Original Mountain Mudd owners, Brenda and Dennis Burkhartsmeier, on hook for $500K

That’s Billings lawyer Randy Nelson’s explanation of why coffee kiosk entrepreneurs Brenda and Dennis Burkhartsmeier and their former company Mountain Mudd Inc. of Billings now owe $508,359 to two Chicago women.

The Montana Supreme Court this week upheld a decision by Yellowstone District Court Judge Susan Watters that Brenda Burkhartsmeier owes more than 10 times the original settlement of $47,630.
