To gain more income, Oregon universities are recruiting foreign students

On the board of a classroom at Oregon State University http://www.oregonstate.edu/ this week, new international engineering students made two lists about what it’s like to study in the United States.

Under "hard," they wrote: "homework," "wake up at the morning" and "a lot of things to do and to read!"

The "easy" list was blank.

The students came to OSU this fall in the first wave of a push to double the number of foreign students in five years, lure $15 million more in tuition and add more international flavor to campus.
