Take advantage of cyber-savvy media, business owners advised

Telephone and e-mail are two of the most common ways that businesses reach out to customers, technology consultant Mark Mathson http://keenpath.com/ told a group of business owners Friday.

Telephone and e-mail aren’t going anywhere, but there are new ways, such as Twitter and blogs, for businesses to interact with, reach and attract customers, Mathson said.

Learning how to use those new tools was the purpose of Social Media 101, a workshop hosted by the Small Business Development Center, according to Mathson.
