Climate change: Does anyone else see a pattern here?

Driving across the Continental Divide over McDonald Pass recently, a red sea of beetle-killed trees stopped me in my tracks. It wasn’t the first shocking scene I’ve witnessed here. Over the past decade, I’ve seen the Big Hole, Jefferson, Clark Fork and Beaverhead rivers closed to summer fishing because river temperatures got too warm. Campgrounds are closing because of falling dead trees and Glacier National Park is a melting shadow of its former self.

Montana hunters know our big game season is a different ballgame when winter storms fail to drive elk down from the high country soon enough.

Does anyone else see a pattern here?
