LookingGlass lets marketers monitor, use social media

Microsoft Advertising has a new product-in-development, codenamed LookingGlass, that’s designed to help marketers use, monitor and analyze social media networks.

It’s a browser-based (using Silverlight) application to help marketers wade through the deluge of tweets, Facebook news feeds, YouTube updates – and on and on and on – that PR professionals are starting to find overwhelming. "What we’re trying to do is to make social media actionable for businesses," product evangelist Jamey Tisdale told Mel Carson of the Microsoft Advertising Blog.
