12 schools linked in Education Network in Idaho

The schools are the first to be connected to the new network, a statewide effort to provide state-of-the-art broadband Internet access to every Idaho student.

The Idaho Legislature appropriated almost $3 million in federal stimulus funding to pay for the network’s first phase. The network, being installed by Qwest, is expected to extend to all Idaho public schools within two years.
