Libby, Montana firm, Stinger Welding Inc., hires core group of workers. 200 is the goal

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Stinger Welding Inc. http://www.deckjoint.com/ , which is building a new facility in Libby that will eventually employ 200, has hired a core group of employees to conduct initial production.

Included in the first wave of hiring are two administrative staffers, a maintenance manager, a machine operator, a laborer and five welders.
