Montana Chamber of Commerce. Honors Reps. Scott Mendenhall, R-Clancy, and Chuck Hunter, D-Helena as Champions of Business

A pair of Helena-area lawmakers were cited for their pro-business approach in the last session by the Montana Chamber of Commerce http://www.montanachamber.com/.

Reps. Scott Mendenhall http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/61st/leg_info.asp?HouseID=0&SessionID=94&LAWSID=2574 , R-Clancy, and Chuck Hunter http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/61st/leg_info.asp?HouseID=0&SessionID=94&LAWSID=6470 , D-Helena, received the chamber’s “Champion of Business” award for voting along with business interests on bills deemed most important by the Montana Chamber, among other criteria.

Lawmakers also got credit for sponsoring pro-business legislation or carrying a pro-business bill on the floor, and for voting to override the governor’s veto of a workers’ compensation bill that was the chamber’s top priority in the session. The vote to override the veto failed, but the three local award winners voted for the override.
