Venture capitalists invest $16M in New Mexico firms in the first quarter of 09

That’s good news for New Mexico after VC investments were slammed in the fourth quarter of 2008, dropping to just $8.5 million. However, Q1 numbers still represent a decline in the number of transactions and total aggregate investment from the first quarter of 2008 when there was a total of $31.1 million invested, according to the New Mexico Venture Capital Association.
