Alternate Energy Holdings Inc., based in Eagle, Idaho could get $70M for licensing funds for a proposed 1,600-megawatt nuclear power plant

The developer of a proposed 1,600-megawatt nuclear power plant in Elmore County says it has secured more financial help for the project.

Alternate Energy Holdings Inc. http://www.alternateenergyholdings.com/ , based in Eagle, announced on Friday it had signed an agreement with Source Capital Group Inc. of Westport, Conn., to raise an estimated $70 million. The money would cover land, water rights and engineering services needed to obtain a federal license to run the plant through the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
