Bozeman-based backpack maker, Mystery Ranch, has eyes on expansion

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Business is good for Bozeman-based backpack maker Mystery Ranch http://www.mysteryranch.com/ , and managers there have their eyes on expansion.

“Our business is rolling and we’re bursting at the seams,” said Mystery Ranch co-founder Renee Sippel-Baker. “Fortunately for us the economy hasn’t hurt us too bad.”

And so the company, which manufactures a range of packs, from day bags to heavy duty military totes, is looking around to see which community will best suit its expansion needs, Sippel-Baker said.
