‘Reaching Across the 49th Parallel’ Conference May 13-14 in Great Falls, Montana

Rocky Mountain Log Homes http://www.rmlh.com/ , based in Hamilton, imports most of its raw materials from Canada.

The log home company also exports some finished buildings to our northern neighbor, said company president Jim Schueler.

For the most part, the process of importing and exporting works pretty well, Schueler said.

"It runs fairly smoothly, but sometimes there are hiccups," he said.

A conference http://matr.net/events.phtml?showdetail=2737 this week in Great Falls will examine the relationship between the United States and Canada and look at solutions for some of those "hiccups."

"Canada and Montana: Reaching Across the 49th Parallel" runs Wednesday evening and Thursday throughout the day at MSU-Great Falls College of Technology. The conference is hosted by Bozeman-based Burton K. Wheeler Center http://www.wheelercenter.org/ in collaboration with the Canadian Consulate in Denver.
