Agreement between Positron and Idaho State University could make Idaho a nuclear pharmacy

Tens of millions of people rely on radioactive isotopes every year for medical scans, cancer treatment and other procedures, but the United States’ supply comes mainly from aging nuclear reactors in Canada that will likely be shut down in the coming decades.

Now, with a letter of intent announced on May 7 between Pocatello-based Positron Systems http://www.positronsystems.com/ and Idaho State University http://www.isu.edu/ , the Gem State may be poised to become a nuclear pharmacy to the nation.
