Tax credit measure aims to entice angel investors

Startup companies might have a new incentive to dangle in front of potential investors in January when a bill pushed by Fort Collins business groups will likely go into effect.

House Bill 1105, the Colo-rado innovation in-vestment tax credit, sponsored by Rep. John Kefalas, D-Fort Collins, establishes a one-year pilot program to assess the impact of a 30 percent tax break for angel investors putting their money in startup companies.
