Wine industry contributed $73 million to Idaho economy in 2008

Idaho’s wine industry in 2008 produced $52 million in revenue – up from $15 million in 2002 – and accounted for 625 full-time equivalent jobs representing $19 million in wages. The results, which also say the industry last year contributed nearly $73 million in total economic value to Idaho, are from a recently released study that the Idaho Grape Growers and Wine Producers Commission and Boise State University conducted.
