State Helps Utah Businesses Obtain Government Contracts

During the first six months of fiscal year 2009, Utah’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center http://www.goed.utah.gov/ptac helped Utah businesses secure $144 million in government contracts. This has helped ease the financial burden many local businesses have felt over the past year. According to the Department of Defense, these contracts have been responsible for creating and retaining 2,880 jobs throughout the state.
