New funding to help Pocatello wind turbine manufacturer – Nordic Windpower

Wind turbine maker Nordic Windpower http://www.nordicwindpower.com/ headquarters is reporting that nearly $3.5 million has been raised through notes that can be converted to preferred stock.

Nordic Windpower CEO Tom Carbone said, “This funding will assist us with the delivery of the first orders from our Pocatello, facility marking Nordic’s entrance into the U.S. market.”

The Berkeley, Calif.-based is a manufacturer of two-bladed utility-scale turbines. It opened a manufacturing facility in Pocatello last year.
