Slow Down for Manufacturing in Montana

The past few years were robust years for Montana’s manufacturing businesses, but that stalled in 2008 and will probably suffer more declines in 2009, as a result of lower demand, increased value of the dollar, and tight credit, according to the Bureau of Business and Economic Research.

Thirty percent of Montana manufacturers foresee a decline in their workforce.
