Grant Opportunity for Missoula Nonprofits

Dear Missoula Nonprofit Professional:

A University of Montana class is partnering with the Sunshine Lady Foundation to provide local nonprofits with $10,000 in grant money. Through their “Learning by Giving” program, the UM School of Business Administration class, Leadership and Motivation, will distribute grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 to nonprofits serving Missoula County. To be eligible for funding, organizations must be a 501(c) (3) and provide services to Missoula County residents in the areas of youth, education or health.

The Learning by Giving grant program request for proposals can be found online at http://www.dhc.umt.edu/oce/LearningbyGiving.htm. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Students in the Leadership and Motivation class will review proposals, determine awards and give the grants to winning proposals at a special ceremony in May.

Thank you,
