University of Montana enrolls on Facebook, creates page for President George Dennison

It’s official. Everyone is now on Facebook.

That includes University of Montana President George Dennison.

His profile page tells his friends that he’s a member of the Montana faculty network, a fan of the Montana Grizzlies, UM Dinning Services and UM Career Services. The times and days of his public office hours are posted, as well as the details of the President’s Lecture Series.

His page lacks much personal pizazz, except for listing his hometown of Missoula. No personal photos either; only UM’s official emblem. Still, Dennison, a recent Facebook member, has 34 “friends,” including Monte Dolack, George Lambros and, of course, Monte the mascot.

There’s one teeny, tiny catch, however.

As of Friday, Dennison wasn’t aware he even had a Facebook page.
