Boise State brings biz resources together under one roof

Boise State University is bringing management of its College of Business and Economics outreach efforts together under one roof. Called the Business Research and Economic Development Center, the “one-stop-shop” will coordinate the Idaho Small Business Development Center, TechHelp, TECenter, Centre for Creativity and Innovation, Idaho Council on Economic Education, Center for Entrepreneurship and the Economic Forecast Project. Boise State officials said the new center is the culmination of COBE’s Economic Turnaround Initiative, announced in January, with a goal to help 200 Boise area businesses survive the down economy this spring. Businesses wishing to access any of Boise State’s outreach programs can call one number – (208) 426-4950 – and be connected to business specialists and university faculty members.
