International Kiosk Solutions of Missoula, Montana Offers Food and Beverage Pairing System

A few months ago, Tammy Troxel, manager of Hamilton Wine and Liquor at The Edge Restaurant, found a mysterious business card.

“The business card was laying on the counter and I made a phone call,” Troxel said.

On the other end of that call, she found someone with International Kiosk Solutions http://www.iksusa.com/ – a new company out of Missoula – who offered to bring a prototype of their new food and beverage pairing system down to the recently opened store for customers to try out.

The touch-screen kiosk that arrived – which offers users the ability to learn about in-stock wines and liquors, figure out which foods they go best with, plan how many bottles to purchase for a any size party and will even print out thousands of creative cocktail recipes – was an instant hit.

“We haven’t got it to vacuum for us in the mornings yet, but we’re trying,” Troxel joked.

A few weeks later, the prototype had to leave, but by then, Troxel said, her customers were hooked. She actually had a contact list of people who wanted to be notified when the permanent system arrived.

Troxel soon related her list of kiosk accolades to a Missoula distributor at a wine tasting without realizing that one of the system’s creators – whom she had never met – was standing right behind her. The man introduced himself to Troxel and thanked her for her feedback.

“He was like ‘You are my best advertising!’” Troxel said.
