Intermountain Community offers communities ‘stimulus plan’

Intermountain Community Bancorp http://www.intermountainbank.com/ , based in Sandpoint, has plans to depart from the corporate culture by initiating funding, leadership and coordination for economic development programs within its banking communities. These activities will all fall under a bankwide initiative called “Powered By Community.”

“When the economy is on a negative trend, it’s tempting to step back, restrict investment, wait and see,” Intermountain Community CEO Curt Hecker said. “We’re not going to do that.”

“IMCB is in the business of investing in people and communities,” he stated. “We are committed to a proactive approach that helps build the economy from the ground up. “
