Calling all startups: send us your best pitch and we’ll print the best in the San Francisco Chronicle

The San Francisco Chronicle is giving readers a chance to pitch their startup idea in the newspaper.

Money to fund startups is as scarce as it’s been in years. But you still have a great idea for a company, and successful businesses often are forged during tough economic times.

With this in mind, The Chronicle is giving readers a chance to pitch their startup idea in the newspaper. We can’t promise you any money, but we can give you exposure, along with suggestions from some venture capitalists who will review your spiel.

Please send your "elevator pitch" — your idea, the benefit of your idea and why you deserve to get funding — in 300 words or less, to [email protected] by Feb. 15.

Include your contact information and, if you have one, a picture of yourself or your product.

We’ll pick the best ideas and publish them in the Business section on Feb. 24.
