Ravalli County-based educational projects – Community college, MAPS go to Legislature

Two separate Ravalli County-based educational projects face their first tests before the 2009 Montana Legislature in Wednesday hearings that will go a long way toward determining their fates.

Both the Bitterroot Valley Community College http://bvcc-edu.org/ and MAPS Media Institute http://mediarts.org/content/view/2/4/ have hearings scheduled, affording their supporters the opportunity to speak out.

It’s taken many years and a whole lot of volunteer hours, but Wednesday’s 3 p.m. hearing at last gives the proponents of the Bitterroot Valley Community College their legislative day.
