Montana Governor Schweitzer visits Butte, touts energy options – Wind turbine plant discussed

Gov. Brian Schweitzer http://governor.mt.gov/ took the 13-minute plane ride from Helena to visit Butte Wednesday afternoon.

His first stop was Nova Biosource Fuels Inc. http://www.novabiosource.com/ , a Butte-based technology company at 600 Dewey Blvd. It owns and operates multiple biodiesel refining facilities throughout North America and is looking to expand.

Wind turbine plant discussed

While visiting Butte Wednesday, Gov. Brian Schweitzer spoke about another proposed Butte project, the Chafin-Fuhrlander wind turbine plant.

The governor said he had talked with co-owner Jon Chafin within the last 10 days.
