MSU to host annual robotics tournament Jan. 23-24, for Montana middle and high school students

Montana State University will host the annual FIRST robotics tournaments for middle and high school students on Jan. 23-24 in the Shroyer Gym.

The tournaments will give about 150 high school students and 330 middle school students from across the state the chance to compete with robots of their own design and practice professionalism, respect and courtesy.

High school students compete on Friday in the FIRST Tech Challenge. Using robots built from a parts kit, two-team alliances must get more hockey pucks in the goal than their opponents using both preprogrammed robot movements and remote control.
