University of Montana again in top 10 for Peace Corps volunteers

The University of Montana http://www.umt.edu/future.aspx is again among the top 10 universities and colleges of its size for producing Peace Corps volunteers.

With 30 UM alumni serving abroad in 2008, Montana ranked 10th n Georgetown University, which had 35 volunteers. The schools that produced the most Peace Corps volunteers were George Washington University, with 57, and the University of California Santa Cruz, with 52.

UM has a long tradition of significant participation in the Peace Corps.

In 2007, Montana was among the top 20 schools for generating Peace Corps volunteers, with 23 alumni serving abroad. In 2006, it was sixth in the nation, producing 42 volunteers.
