Full time position, which provides technical expertise for a County department installing, integrating, and maintaining network hardware, software, security; connectivity with internal and external network services, software products; maintaining performance parameters; optimizing network configuration, resource utilization; and resolving complex operational problems. This position may be required to work flexible hours based on MetraParks schedule of events.

Required: Graduation from a college or university of recognized standing with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science,or closely related field; and One years experience in network administration for Windows, Unix and other relevant environments, as well as information systems development and operation; Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling five years. Valid drivers license issued by the State of Montana.

Special Requirements: Provides technical guidance and consultation in the design, installation; configuration, and monitoring of network hardware, software, services, and network communications to other computing environments; Resolves user and system problems; monitors and evaluates network utilization and performance; oversees modifications to enhance network operating efficiency and ensure operating problems are resolved; Designs, configures, LAN WAN and coordinate configuration, maintenance of network hardware, software, upgrades and connections; Ability to work under critical time frames in order to provide the services that MetraPark must have to meet their event schedules.

Desired: Experience working in a fast paced industry, preferable convention center related; Must be punctual and dependable with strong work ethics.
