Virginia City, Montana strikes gold as True Western Town

Virginia City http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_City,_Montana http://www.virginiacity.com/ was named No. 2 in True West magazine’s http://www.twmag.com/ 2009 list of the Top 10 True Western Towns, citing its gold-rush history and modern preservation efforts.

No. 1 was Cheyenne, Wyo.

“Cooperation is key in Virginia City. It has only 150 residents and more than 200 historic structures,” according to a press release from the magazine.
