Governor sketches economic plan for Idaho

Despite a state budget crunch and a request for an additional 2 percent holdback, there’s a silver lining to the recession, said Gov. Butch Otter.

"It’s going to have every one of my department heads, it’s going to have all 26,790 employees of the state looking at their mission and are we truly involved in the proper roles of government," Otter said during the Intermountain Forest Association conference at The Coeur d’Alene Resort on Thursday.
