First Interstate sells data business for $40 million

December 16, 2008/

First Interstate BancSystem https://www.firstinterstatebank.com/ of Billings is selling its i-Tech subsidiary that processes accounts and payments for other companies.

The sale for $40 million is expected to close Dec. 31 and the buyer is Fiserv, Inc. http://www.fiserv.com/ , based in Brookfield, Wisc.

Fiserv is a Fortune 500 company providing information technology services to the financial industry.
