The Montana Film Office Welcomes You to Big Sky Country

Since 1974, the Montana Film Office has been assisting features, tv shows, commercials, documentaries, still shoots, and music videos. We offer a range of services including:

* Locations: script breakdown and scouting

* Incentives: 14% refundable tax credit on Montana Labor, 9% refundable tax credit on Montana expenditures, and NO sales tax.

* Production: information and assistance regarding accommodations, equipment, transportation, crew members, and local services

* Liaison: information and assistance with federal and state agencies, city offices, local businesses, and individual landowners

As you’re aware, Montana does have beautiful mountains, but we’re also known for many diverse looks: badlands, wheatfields that stretch into the horizon, ghost towns, pristine mountain lakes, and winding rivers dot the landscape of our state. Not only that, but we also have a very talented and hard working crew base that are willing to travel all over the state to make sure your production is a success.
