Montana Property values up average of 55 percent

The value of Montana residential property has jumped an average of 55 percent statewide over the past six and a half years, the state Revenue Department’s latest reappraisal numbers show.

State Revenue Director Dan Bucks said these reappraisal numbers are nearly final, but need one last adjustment. He doesn’t expect the final figures to vary much.

The highest increases occurred in Lake, Flathead, Dawson and Richland counties, while the lowest increase at 11 percent was in Liberty County in north-central Montana.
