Author chronicles life with Alex Lowe – "Forget Me Not: A Memoir"

Jennifer Lowe-Anker’s slide show of her life with late husband Alex Lowe is a mosaic of some of the American West’s greatest climbing places.

There are shots of the two working on the massive granite face of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, working up the steep slope of a peak in Alaska or climbing in Wyoming. The adventure even lasted while working, with the couple traveling throughout the West on a seismic testing crew in remote areas.

"We stretched our pennies to adventure as much as we could," Lowe-Anker said recently during a presentation in Dillon of her memoir "Forget Me Not." "We were vagabonds." http://www.amazon.com/Forget-Me-Not-Jennifer-Lowe-anker/dp/1594850828 It’s how Jenni, as she goes by, and Alex lived together for years: work a few months, head out to climb for months. It was a lifestyle that both craved, although Lowe-Anker said after her first son was born her taste for risk diminished dramatically.
