Global Business Executive Becomes CEO of Artisan Doors and Windows of Kalispell

Jobs Now, Inc. has announced that Stephen Anderson has acquired a majority interest in Artisan Doors and Windows in Kalispell, MT. Mr. Anderson has assumed the position of CEO.

Mr. Anderson was formerly CEO of Asia Pacific Bass PLC, a global hospitality and beverage conglomerate and has extensive experience with multinational business concerns worldwide, particularly focused in the Asia Pacific.

He holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin and has completed advanced training in leadership and global branding from Harvard Business School and IMD. Most recently, he has established a successful track record in growing viable small growth businesses.

Liz Harris, President of Jobs Now, Inc., a private economic development organization serving the Flathead, said, "Bringing someone with Steve’s background into the Valley and Artisan’s will undoubtedly open up new job opportunities in the Flathead. We are very pleased to have Mr. Anderson join our local business community. It is very positive to see an existing Valley business grow from the inside out."

Artisan Doors and Windows was founded by local contractor Craig Denman in Whitefish when Mr. Denman found that he was unable to resource fine, handcrafted wood products for his growing high end construction business. Taking advantage of the existing craftsmen in the Valley, he began production of custom doors and moldings. Artisan’s has expanded its market reach and had double-digit growth last year. Mr. Denman sold a controlling interest in the company this week to Mr. Anderson.

Citing the time demands of running both Artisan’s and a growing construction concern, Mr. Denman says, "The potential for Artisan’s to grow is there. I want to direct my energies toward my core business, which is construction of fine homes. Stephen Anderson brings a wealth of management and marketing expertise to the company and I believe he will take Artisan’s beyond the next level." Mr. Denman has retained an interest in the company.

Mr. Anderson says that investing in a company like Artisan Doors and Windows makes good business sense. "Taking advantage of the fine, high quality wood products and skilled craftspeople in the workforce is a natural for growing the well established wood products industry in the Valley," commented Mr. Anderson.

He believes the market for finely crafted architectural wood products is strong. In assuming management of the company, Mr. Anderson announced his intention to immediately expand the market reach of Artisan’s products well beyond the region into the discreet oriented national market along with the development of an international presence. He is also planning to import some unusual, highly crafted pieces from around the world with a focus on Ming and Ching designs from China.

The company will pursue a focused growth strategy capitalizing on the value of the "crafted in Montana" position and search for new global sales opportunities. Artisan Doors and Windows will be known as the producer of one of the finest high quality, solid wood crafted doors available in the global market.

Artisan Doors and Windows operates out of a 20,000 square foot facility on US 93 in Kalispell. They currently employ 14 people and have plans to expand.
