Family may sell movie theatre in Sidney, Montana – Funding Available for Buyers

Centre Theatre hasn’t been open for business since the early part of September, but Richland Economic Development is working on making sure the area has a movie theatre.

Because of an illness to the business’ owner, Barry Suckstorff, last year, the theatre was closed from September to early December. Charlotte Suckstorff, Barry’s wife, then filled the role as business operator and Centre Theatre began offering films during the weekend. That, however, ended when she was involved in a serious auto accident in early September. Since that time, the theatre has been closed.

“The family is looking at alternatives,” Leslie Messer, executive director for Richland Economic Development, said.

Richland Economic Development has been in contact with a member of the Suckstorff family who lives out of state. Messer said that family member is attempting to access the current value of the business.
