Demand for pharmacists in Idaho helps boost pay, sign-on bonuses for the highly trained professionals

Students are getting job offers even before they graduate as retail drugstores proliferate

Pharmacist jobs in the Treasure Valley are red hot, with at least one retailer luring new graduates with sign-on bonuses of up to $30,000 and starting pay of $110,000 a year.

Students have their pick of increasingly diverse and challenging jobs, and they can afford to be choosy. "What do I want to do for the rest of my life?" asked David Nguyen, 23, of Fruitland. "There’s just so many options."
