University of Utah Technology Venture Development Office launches plan to boost student, faculty ventures

The University of Utah http://www.utah.edu/portal/site/uuhome/ launched a new plan to increase the number of companies it produces as student and faculty ventures.

The Entrepreneur in Residence program aims to align seasoned entrepreneurs with young university startup companies to help the new companies as they develop business plans, acquire financing and begin operations. It is an extension of efforts already being made by the Technology Venture Development Office http://www.techventures.utah.edu/ , which was created at the U. in 2005 and has launched more than 60 companies from various research ideas since.
