Linda Brander resigns as program manager of the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership Program

This is to announce that I am resigning as program manager of the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership Program (MTIP)http://mtip.mt.gov/ . I have accepted a new job as the Restoration Coordinator at the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. My last day here at the Montana Department of Commerce will be December 3, 2008.

To maintain program continuity over the next few months, John Balsam, the MTIP long-term advocate and contract counselor, will handle basic program activities. You can call John directly at (406) 549-2460 or email him at [email protected]

MDOC has put together a six-month transition plan that will provide continuity of services for the Department until we know the outcome of funding for the program after the Legislative Session. John Balsam and Marti Elder will continue counseling clients and the schedule of training seminars for 2009 will be released by the first of the year.

It is with mixed feelings that I leave this program. I built this program from a concept into a nationally recognized program, met many wonderful people along the way and cultivated many partnerships that have helped me and benefitted Montana’s tech-based market sector.

It has been a pleasure working with each of you and I hope in the future our paths will cross again.

Linda Brander
