Lewis and Clark County, Montana unveils new Web site

Lewis and Clark County officials are refining the government’s new online look, a revamped Web site with expanded information on the community and local services.

Launched a few weeks ago, the latest evolution of the county’s site is aimed to improve usability, offer additional services and provide information on community recreation, tourism, arts and events, Information Technology Services officials said.

The county’s also restructured its departmental procedures to provide more consistent content management and fresh information on the home page, IT&S Director Art Pembroke said.

The site, at http://www.co.lewis-clark.mt.us, is still under construction. It was designed and built by county employees, who searched the Internet for ideas and developed the site’s looks and functionality.
