In the West, Turning Waste Wood Into Heat - Fuels for School and Beyond Program

As the popularity of biomass energy grows throughout the forest-rich areas of the Northwest United States, Montana has cemented its position as the standard-bearer for a large six-state effort called the Fuels for School and Beyond Program http://www.fuelsforschools.info/ . The Big Sky state has nine of the 14 biomass boilers currently operating under the program, including ones in Glacier and Eureka high schools.
