New company means more jobs for Utah - Merger » Decho absorbs Mozy of Pleasant Grove

Utah will benefit from about 100 new jobs as Mozy Inc. of Pleasant Grove is absorbed into a new company that was announced Monday.
EMC Corp., Mozy's parent, said it was blending Mozy and Pi Corp. of Seattle into a company that will offer online backup for digital files from computers or other devices and, eventually, ways to use and share those files.
The new company will be headquartered in Seattle, Pi's hometown. But Utah will see the largest concentration of employees in the new company, said Vance Checketts, chief operations officer of Mozy.
The new company, called Decho http://www.decho.com/ -- for digital echo -- will be looking to hire for 100 positions in Pleasant Grove, he said.
