MSU online science program sets spring courses for teachers
| November 14, 2008 |
Montana State University's NTEN online science courses are now open for Spring 2008 registration.
The eight courses are offered through MSU Extended University's National Teachers Enhancement Network (NTEN), one the country's largest and most-established online science learning programs. The courses are designed to help elementary, secondary and community college teachers develop a deeper understanding of science concepts while interacting with and learning new techniques from other teachers around the globe. Some are open to non-teaching professionals.
The Spring 2008 line-up includes courses in water quality, soil science, microbiology, physics and environmental science education, among others.
Most NTEN courses offer MSU graduate credit, and several include resource packets with CDs, student handouts and other course materials sent by mail. NTEN was created with support from the National Science Foundation and is recognized by the National Science Teachers Association.
