Anaconda Main Street Program Announcement

The Directors of the Anaconda Main Street Program are pleased to announce the relocation of their office to 400-½ East Park Avenue in Anaconda, and to introduce Leslie Godleski as the new Executive Director of the Program.

The Anaconda Main Street Program office will be open from 6 – 8 PM during the traditional Anaconda Christmas Stroll following the tree lighting on Friday, November 28th, and the Program directors invite the public to visit their new office and meet Ms. Godleski. The Board directors will have pocket-sized “chemical hand warmers” for sale before and after the Tree Lighting and Christmas Stroll, and will serve hot cider, cocoa, coffee and cookies at their office following the ceremony.

Ms. Godleski is a Montana native who brings a wealth of enthusiasm and experience working with and for businesses and organizations whose goals are community improvement and business growth. Over the past 20 years, she has been employed as a Human Resource Manager, community foundation Volunteer Coordinator, chamber of commerce Membership and Special Events Director, job service Business Services Consultant, and most recently was Association Executive of the Lake Placid (FL) Board of Realtors®.

“My husband, David, and I are thrilled to be back home in Montana,” Godleski said. “We began making preparations to return four years ago. Anaconda is at a crossroads in determining its destiny, and there couldn’t be a more exciting time to be right here. Now is the time for each of us to accept the responsibility of self-determination. We must make decisions regarding the direction we want to go, and grow, for ourselves. It is a matter of residents and businesses making the commitments of time, vision and money to create the hometown we all want to have.”

For more information about upcoming events and projects, to volunteer, or to make a donation to support the revitalization program, please contact Leslie Godleski at the Anaconda Main Street Program office in person, by phone at 406-560-3416, or email [email protected].
